Our CTE programs help you advance in the technical areas of your current career, become equipped to train others, move forward in your career, and find personal enrichment!
BSED Program:
The Bachelor of Education, Career and Technical Education (CTE) program is intended to integrate occupation-specific knowledge and skills with current CTE theory and practice to create professionals who can train others in those occupations. The program is geared to promote professionalism and continual growth and development by combining professional and workplace knowledge with the fundamentals of CTE. Our mission is to produce graduates who will:
- Be effective instructors armed with a variety of tools to teach diverse learners.
- Be thoughtful and intentional about their educational practices.
- Disrupt negative stereotypes and sell the field of CTE.
- Be ethical and professional practitioners.
MEd Program:
The purpose of the Career and Technical Education (CTE), Master of Education is to address the need for educators, practitioners, and occupational trainers in and advocates of career and technical education. For those already employed or educated in this field, completing this degree will provide a deeper understanding of the role CTE plays in preparing and maintaining a skilled and diverse workforce for a strong economy to continue to grow and develop as leaders and advocates in the field. The degree also prepares professionals who have occupation-specific knowledge/skills/experience to transition into the field as educators and advocates in formal education or business settings (including corporate trainers).
What Our Graduates Are Saying Accordion Closed
“I was apprehensive about finding a quality program with credibility that could be done through distance learning as we know that there are plenty available minus the credibility. The M.Ed. CTE program was very challenging and really stretched me in my profession, yet I never missed a family moment or an all important little league game.”
~Debra Gentene
“I can’t tell you how much easier the process of opening and operating a private welding school has been thanks to what I learned while in the program.”
~ Dan Londo
